Earlier this summer, on 20 June, Nicholas Serota introduced Artworks: Young Artists of the Year Awards, where 30 schools will be beneficiaries. The awards are designed to persuade children to engage with art through visits and through their own work. The intention is to establish an inspirational surge that will lift young peoples own worldview well beyond basic curricular experience. The Clore Duffield Foundation has worked with Tate Modern and arts councils to establish this new venture. Artwork looks like achieving results.
