There is so much to thank Google for (here speaks an editor and a thousand contributors), but they have succumbed (perhaps temporarily) to a common US condition of denial about the effects of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans. Recently the well-displayed catastrophic landscape of the 'Big Easy' could be accessed to discover the true effect of the devastation, writ large. But more recently these images were replaced in an unheralded move by 'old' images of the city as she used to be. The marinas were full of boats, car parking spaces were fully used, churches and graveyards stood idyllically in a dream scenario. What's doing? Google's company motto is 'Do No Evil'. Maybe Katrina is recast as Evil Incarnate.
