Miró at Christie's

The sale of Miró's 'Caress of the Stars' on Wednesday 3 November 2004 in New York, for close to $10 million, suggests that the art market is still robust when it comes to works of the highest quality. This was the second largest sum ever paid for a Miró. In the same sale, Monet's 'The Parliament, London, Effect of Sun in the Fog', raised approximately $20 million.
